Mythical Mysterious MAGIC Balls!

The Monthly Adventures Group over on Ravelry is a wonderful, funny, and generous group.  The current swap is a multi-monthly extravaganza of yarn, goodies, knitting, then more goodies.  We are creating magic balls of a stash yarn from which we wish someone would knit us a scarf.  Then, after wrapping said yarn around lots of local goodies, we ship it off to our partner who then gets to enjoy the goodies and knit us a scarf to send in a return package (with more goodies, of course) in December.  Fun and clever, huh?

Anyway, I was very, very lucky indeed to be paired with the lovely HEDDAs in Kalmar, Sweden.  She sent this fabulous box:

Which opened up to reveal this:  (Love the strange growth on it’s side!)

Unwrapped (and notice the puzzle created by unwrapping certain items):

The goodies are wonderful and include a dog photo frame for Henry and Matilda as well as shoe-shaped rawhides for them to chew.  So cute!  And the laces poking out of the yarn as I was unwrapping the ball were confounding.  I could not figure out what was in there for the longest time.

Here are a couple of close-ups of the loot:

And last, but certainly not least, the lovely, lovely wool that will soon be on the needles and making its way into scarf-hood.  I’m still searching for the perfect pattern…

  1. Abigail:

That’s amazing that she was able to hide all of that loot inside a ball of yarn!

I can’t wait to see what you knit with that pretty yarn.
